Nashy Nashai has finally given us an album after two years of releasing singles. Although the start of the album was a bit shaky, she still managed to show me why she won the show La Firma in 2023, signing to NEON16.

Just like the name of the album, Nashy Nashai is breaking through the noise with Capítulo Cero, starting with nine tracks that were singles running from late 2024 all the way to 2025, and having an additional six songs, bringing Capítulo Cero to 15 tracks in the span of 40 minutes.

Most of the tracks are short and sweet, and I prefer this decision more than making it reach the 3-minute mark. Nashy Nashai does well in this area, hitting the listeners with strong vocals and the occasional deep lyricism that makes you think.

"Apostando Mi Corazon" was a standout song for me, despite not being released as a leading single. It’s very sensual and stands out within the album, as she learns to trust herself after going through a heartbreak.

One of the most notable qualities as well is her vocals, as she can go from rapping with songs like “X Ti” or “Contesta El Phone” into heart-wrenching songs like “Te Voy a Olvidar” and “Luz”, giving Capítulo Cero a good mix of light-heartedness and sad songs.

The album also progresses in an excellent way, and I especially love the transition between “Como Le Digo” featuring another artist from the show La Firma, to “Luz”. The songs themselves represent a restart into loving yourself again and realizing that your ex will never find another person like you.

From the nine singles released, three stood out to me because of how diverse they were from each other. Listening to the album, Nashy Nashai plays with the many areas of Latin Pop and Funk, and often uses elements of trap and hip hop to keep each song from sounding like the others.

Although the song wasn’t my favorite, “X Ti” featuring Elias Glz and Roxxee was great at switching between the trap beat into reggaeton, and this same technique is used in “Contesta El Phone” with different musical styles applied.

One important thing to note, though, is that even with many subgenres in this album, it is not sloppy.  She’s not simply throwing darts and seeing which one will stick. Everything we hear, from start to finish, was intentional.

In the first half of Capítulo Cero, we understand that she feels insecure and only has eyes for her partner, who is slowly pulling away. Then from “Calor,” ”Nana,” and “Buenos Aires,” we see her discovering herself without the need of a person being there. It then ends with her finally embracing this new era of life without them, and basically tells them that she’ll forget them and she’s betting on herself.

“Buenos Aires” was also a fun ode to where she’s from in Argentina, and truly embraces house pop. She excels with this range of pop, and another one of my favorites from her album also included house elements, “Como Le Digo”. Not only do they have amazing beats that have you grooving until the end, but she also knows how to really sell the act of being a party girl.

That’s another aspect the album excelled in, once you hit the third track, “Contesta El Phone”, and its ability to make listeners care. Though the first two songs somewhat lose you, it looked hopeful once you see the name of the third track, but I still wish the first two were replaced with something else or reorganized to make the start of the album stronger.

Everything beyond the second track was an automatic save to my playlists, and if you’re ready to cry, dance, or do both, then Capítulo Cero offers that fresh start into your new era. Nashy Nashai's career is just blowing up, and the potential she has is only growing as she plays with funk, pop, hip hop to create a style uniquely hers, and as the album title details, the prologue before her rise to stardom as Argentina’s own popstar.
