While on set filming the movie, Rust, actor Alec Baldwin discharged a prop firearm resulting in the death of crew member Halyna Hutchins. While many details are still unknown, the accidental discharge is still under investigation. In an email obtained from a prop-making company, it is known that a live round was loaded in the prop gun. Laundrie was the fiancé of Gabby Petito, the 22-year-old who was reported missing in September after embarking on a cross-country trip with Laundrie in June 2021. Petito was reported missing on September 11, 2021 and by September 19, her remains were found in Wyoming, leaving Laundrie as the main suspect. On October 20, Laundrie's skeletal remains were found at Florida's Carlton Reserve, identified by dental records. Despite this recent discovery, questions still remain surrounding the death of the couple.

New Staten Island Ferry SSG Michael H. Ollis Left Unused

Staten Island Ferry staffing difficulties have left the new $100 million vessel unused since August 2021.

The Staten Island Ferry’s newest $100 Million vessel SSG Michael H. Ollis has been left unused since its arrival to New York in August 2021 as there has been no ferry staff trained to pilot it. The vessel was christened with much fanfare in early October 2021, but has sat dormant since. As of now, there is not enough ferry staff to do the training and keep the current boats running. It is estimated that the newest member of the fleet will not be put into service until 2022.

In lieu of recent losses and a predominantly losing season, trade rumors surrounding the New York Giants have been circulating. With the November 2 trade deadline rapidly approaching, multiple players have expressed their frustration. Safety Jabrill Peppers told reporters earlier this week, “I just want to win, baby.” Other players, including Tight-end, Evan Engram, are ignoring the rumors, making it evident that he is not the type of person to “tap out.”
