LIU Flag Football Earns First Win in Program History

On Wednesday evening, in Shark Stadium, the Sharks achieved their first win in the history of the flag football program against Kean.
As the final minute of the game approached, Kean opted to punt as the Cougars faced a fourth down. Inside the five-yard line, the snap was fumbled, which gave the Sharks an opportunity.
On LIU’s first down, QB Julia Dank gained three yards with a rush up the middle. On the next down, Dank connected with WR Thelma Granados for the winning touchdown. LIU also succeeded with their one-point conversion. To seal the deal, Samanta Puelles intercepted Kean’s pass downfield, and the LIU Sharks walked away victorious.
The Sharks take on Wagner at home on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
New York Liberty Sign Satou Sabally for the 2026 Season

Free Agency in the WNBA is in full swing, and the New York Liberty are not holding back this offseason.
Forward Satou Sabally has signed a multi-year contract with the New York Liberty. The Liberty won the championship in 2024, which is what attracted Sabally. A source told ESPN that she wants to be a part of a championship-contending team and the culture in New York.
Last season, Sabally played for the Phoenix Mercury, where she led the team in scoring with 16.3 points per game. She led the Mercury to the WNBA finals, where she suffered a concussion that rendered her unable to play in the final game of the series.
Her Oregon teammate and New York Liberty star, Sabrina Ionescu, is currently a free agent. A reunion would happen for these two former Ducks if Ionescu decides to return to the team.
Rory goes Back-to-Back in Augusta

On Sunday evening at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, Georgia, a back-to-back Masters winner was given the green jacket. Rory McIlroy won the tournament in 2025, but still had to work to keep his jacket.
In Saturday’s third round, he encountered a rough patch and lost his historic six-stroke lead. He entered the final day of the tournament, Sunday, in a tie with Cameron Young. All day, he was rallying, and at one point stumbled and lost the lead he had again.
Inevitably, Rory pulled through and kept his composure to complete his campaign to go back-to-back. He joins elite company in those who went back-to-back in the tournament.
This exclusive club includes Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods, and now Rory McIlroy. The achievement of a back-to-back win has not been achieved since Woods in 2002.
Oklahoma City Thunder Snag the Top Seed In Western Conference

On Wednesday night in Los Angeles, the Oklahoma City Thunder achieved a win over the Clippers 128-110. This win meant that Oklahoma City clinched the top seed in the Western Conference. The team has been the best in the West for the past three seasons.
Reigning NBA MVP and OKC star Shai-Gilgeous Alexander stated, “None of it means anything if you don’t win (a championship) again, and we know that.” It is clear that this team wants to go back-to-back, and they definitely seem to be trending that way.
The Oklahoma City Thunder began their season with a 24-1 start, which put them in conversations where they were being compared to the best regular season team in NBA history, the Golden State Warriors. Golden State finished the 2015-16 season with a 73-9 record.
Mid-season, the Thunder started to lose momentum, but picked it right back up following the All-Star break, where the team has gone 21-3 in their final 24 games.
Oklahoma City finished their season with a 64-18 record and will prepare to face the eighth seed in the NBA playoffs.
Andy Robertson To Depart Liverpool F.C. After Nine Years With The Club

Liverpool F.C. announced Thursday that legendary defender Andy Robertson will be leaving the club at the end of this season. He has spent nine years at Anfield with LFC.
In his nine years with the club, he has won two Premier League titles, one Champions League title, the FA Cup, and two League titles. He has made 373 appearances for Liverpool and will be greatly missed by fans. His contract expires at the close of this season.
With the departure of the Scottish defender, a new defender comes into the mix. Milos Kerkez was acquired from Bournemouth in June 2025, and with his signing, Robertson has started in just 15 games this season.
Robertson told fans in a statement, “It’s never easy leaving a club like Liverpool, it has been a huge part of mine and my family’s life for the last nine years.” He continued, “I’ve had an amazing nine years here.” Robertson joins the company of fellow Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah as they both depart Liverpool at season’s close.
