Yankees Fall to 0-2 Against Blue Jays in ALDS

Multiple Blue Jays players made history on Sunday en route to their 13-7 victory over the Yankees, taking a 2-0 lead before heading back to the Bronx.
Rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage set a franchise record 11 strikes in five no-hit innings, and first baseman superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit the first postseason grand slam in team history, propelling Toronto to a 9-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
For the team in pinstripes, this game couldn’t have gone any worse. In just three innings pitched, superstar pitcher Max Fried allowed eight hits and seven runs. Overall, the team came out flat on both sides of the ball, allowing 12 runs before getting one on board.
Heading into Game 3, the Yankees need to come out firing on all cylinders to avoid going down 3-0 in the series. Luckily, they’ll have thousands of passionate New Yorkers in the stands to display their support.
Drake Maye, Stefon Diggs lead Patriots to Upset Win Over Bills

Stefon Diggs is no stranger to the bright lights in Buffalo, and that proved to be the case on Sunday Night.
The Pro-Bowl receiver totaled 10 catches for 146 yards, including a ridiculous toe-dragging touch while falling out of bounds. He assisted the Patriots in a 23-20 divisional matchup victory over the Bills, handing them their first loss on the season.
Drake Maye displayed poise, throwing for 273 yards and rushing for 12 with no turnovers. Despite the lack of accumulated yardage, tallying just 14, Rhamonde Stvenson rushed for two touchdowns.
In spite of the loss, Josh Allen had a solid game, finishing with 253 yards and two touchdowns through the air, and 53 yards on the ground. Tight end Dalton Kincaid caught six passes for 108 yards, and wide receivers Curtis Samuel and Keon Coleman scored a touchdown each.
This win was significant for the Patriots, placing them in solid standing in the AFC. Furthermore, New England has a favorable schedule in the coming weeks, matching up against the Saints, Titans, and Browns.
Although Buffalo suffered its first loss of the season at home to a division opponent, two of their next four games are against the struggling Panthers and Dolphins. In addition, health has been on their side, as their roster hasn’t needed to go through much reconstruction. Finally, the Bills still have last year’s MVP in Josh Allen, who’s surrounded by a quality supporting cast.
Aces Take Commanding 2-0 Lead Over Mercury in WNBA Finals

In a competitive Game 2, it was the Aces who prevailed, defeating the Mercury 91-78, led by none other than four-time MVP A’ja Wilson and 2019 first overall pick Jackie Young.
In 32 minutes, Wilson tallied 28 points, 14 rebounds, and tied for a team-high plus 21, displaying her significance on both sides of the floor. Young finished with a game-high 32 points along with eight rebounds. Young was not only the first player in franchise history with a 30-point game in the Finals, but also totaled the most points in a quarter in Finals history, scoring 21 in the third quarter.
Veteran point guard Chelsea Gray gave a brilliant all-around performance, accumulating 10 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and three blocks.
Phoenix’s Kahleah Copper and Satou Sabally played well offensively, scoring 23 and 22, respectively, with Sabally grabbing nine rebounds.
Game 3 will prove to be a pivotal one, either allowing the Aces to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series or the Mercury to bounce back and take advantage of home court.
Countless Cardinals’ Errors Result in Titans Win

The Cardinals commenced their season 2-0, defeating the Saints and Panthers by a combined 12 points. Since then, nothing has gone Arizona’s way, largely due to self-inflicted wounds.
With 12:50 left in the fourth quarter, the Cardinals had possession of the ball, up 21-6, looking to tie the bow on this game. Unfortunately, this would not be the case. Running back Emari Demercado ran the ball up the middle for a 71-yard run, but dropped the ball right before he crossed the plane, resulting in a touchback.
Despite this setback, the Cardinals tipped a Cam Ward pass attempt, resulting in a Dadrion Taylor-Demerson interception. Woefully, Taylor-Demerson fumbled the interception, leading to Titan’s receiver Tyler Lockett recovering it in the endzone for a touchdown.
Following a Cardinals punt, 2025 first overall pick Cam Ward put on his superhero cape and led his squad to the red zone before Joey Slye made the game-winning field goal, giving the Titans their first win of the season.
This loss places Arizona last in the NFC West, one of the most competitive divisions in the league. Their road only gets more difficult as they go on the road to verse an offense-dominant Colts team, followed by a hungry Packers team that hasn’t played up to par in recent weeks.
Florida Upsets No. 9 Texas Longhorns

Coming into Saturday’s contest, the Gators seemed lifeless, possessing a three-game losing streak despite being ranked coming into the season. Given those circumstances, Florida showed up and showed out, defeating the No. 9 ranked Texas Longhorns at home, giving them their first win since their week 1 victory over our LIU Sharks.
Quarterback DJ Lagway led the way for the Gators, completing 21 of his 28 pass attempts, accumulating just under 300 yards and two touchdowns – both to true freshman Dallas Wilson, who was making his collegiate debut.
Along with Lagway and Wilson, running back Jadan Baugh totaled 27 carries for 107 yards and a score.
Texas struggled heavily in this game, particularly with Arch Manning. The sophomore quarterback completed just 16 of his 29 pass attempts, tallying 263 yards and two touchdowns. Despite these solid stats, Manning folded at the worst possible time, throwing two interceptions in the fourth quarter while down 15 points, practically giving Florida the win.
For the Gators, this was a must-needed victory. However, celebrations must be short-lived, as they face top 10 teams like Georgia and Texas A&M in two out of their next three games. As for the Longhorns, their next opponent is No. 6 Oklahoma.
