As we transition from summer into fall, the weather also tends to change. Some people will get snow, while others will get rain. Sometimes, even every weekend, from Friday all the way to Sunday.

Now you may be asking yourselves, isn’t the weekend when you want to go out and hang with your friends or party? To that, I will say you are right. However, the world and its weather may have other plans for us, which is to stay inside and cry as we watch the rain fall.

Have no fear though, because we will not let some silly rainy days on the weekend stop us from having fun. I’ve come up with a couple of ways to spend your days full of fun and not sadness, so let us jump into it.

Binge Movies/TV Shows

Now that you have so much free time, why not consider finally watching that movie you’ve been putting off? Better yet, you can go ahead and start watching a TV show and do some work while you are watching.

It’s a great way to keep you entertained if you do not wish to go out in the rai. Invite your friends over and have a movie watch party, or watch a TV show, and at the end of the episode, you can talk about it with them.

All your friends long distance? Don’t worry, if the weather isn’t too bad you can just call them on the phone and bring the watch party with you virtually.

Reconnect with Friends

As life hits us, it can be difficult to keep up with your parents, family members, and friends. On top of having to work, cook, and clean our personal place to keep it tidy, we lose track of the time that can be spent calling and texting the people closest to us.

Now that it’s been raining every weekend, you can take that time to reconnect with them. A simple call never hurts and it’s a great way to start a conversation that may have not been had since three or four weeks ago.

Plan the day to meet up or to eat out with them during the days you are free. Another good way to reconnect with them is to also send a text, and let them know that you’re still thinking about them, even though you may not be able to call them.

Arts & Crafts

Another activity to do inside is DIYs or searching for crafts online. Whether you paint on a canvas or start making a blanket, there are plenty of things you can make to decorate your living place.

According to modpodgerocksblog.com, they have listed fifty crafts that you can make. One craft that I really like is the watercolor collage, which is cutting up watercolor art that you cut into pieces and glue onto a canvas.

No matter what you try to do, whether that be watching a show or taking the time to do something that you like, rainy days do not have to be a complete shut-in day of doing nothing.

Instead, we can turn something that is often gloomy and full of greys into a world full of coloring and crafting and enjoy the time by ourselves instead of wasting time watching the droplets fall.
